by rather fortuituous circumstances i have landed myself another job

as a cleaning lady at a private hospital in south kensington

it's a 2-week temp assignment, £5/hour, mon-fri 0730-1530.

a few weeks ago froggy and i were sitting outside my place on gower street, when a street cleaner passed us by

and froggy made a few rather accurate comments about how a large majority of society views such employment in a rather condescending fashion, and how at the end of a day a job is a job, and how you can't always judge people and who they really are by the jobs they hold.

right now it's summer and i'm a student and i guess this might sound self-consolatory (is that a word?) but i'm getting a kick out of trying out different non-career jobs. café, cleaning... what's next i can't wait :P

to quote the ever-quotable pa,

(but to set the record straight, i am a good waitress! but anyway)
