dans la nuit

i had 2 crazy nightmares last night, one more real than the other

2) i dreamt that i was sitting for an exam paper that counted for 100% of a particular module. the paper consisted of several essay questions, of which 2 were to be chosen and completed by the candidate

apparently i didn't revise for the paper or something, because i just couldn't write anything down. my mind seemed to wander off in abandonment of the weighty task at hand, and in the end i wrote some really random useless stuff just before time was up. i don't even remember what the subject was meant to be

all i remember is the gulping feeling of having certainly flunked the paper, and then realising in hindsight that if i had looked beyond questions 1 and 2 i would have noticed that the other questions (3,4,5,6,7 and 8) were in fact much easier and answerable

what a random foreboding dream. i hope that it doesn't actually foretell reality

2) this was more serious. i dreamt that the father of someone very close to me passed away. the intriguing aspect of this dream was that the someone reacted unusually and unexpectedly calmly to the news

woke up to a bright morning and immediately felt thankful that dreams and reality are more often than not divorced
