blah
yesterday i heard a rumour that no one has ever gotten a first class for my degree course before. ever.
doesn't bother me at all - so much the better if i can be the first person who's ever gotten a 1st.
haha kidding! (seriously, please don't take that seriously)
what's really important though, is that i aim for a 1st. you know the usual story about the moon and the stars - then at least i'll stand a better chance of getting a 2:1.
.
on a social note: i've renounced certain expectations and hopes in view of maximising my happiness and welfare. if the previous sentence seems incomprehensible that's because it's meant to be. i used to want certain things, but now i've come to realise that while a) you can hope and dream, 'cos "dreams are free", b) you can't have everything, 'cos nothing comes for free. nothing.
i'd rather channel my energies into other important things. such as my studies, for example ;P
and rugby.
and ice-skating! i went ice-skating at broadgate (outdoor rink) on sunday and it was great (albeit horribly ache-inducing for my legs and feet). at because there was a huge group of us, it cost only £4 for 2 hours of skating, skate rental included! in london terms that is cheap.
can't wait to go again.
fun is so addictive.
.
last night's rugby training got cancelled - what a bummer. i miss the training intensity that i'd gotten used to in singapore. come march/april i'll probably die during blacks training. i'll go, definitely, 'cos i so very much want to, but that won't save me from hyperventilating during the sprints and missing the simplest of touches during touch games.
it's a fact that less than a handful (literally) of ppl on my uni rugby team are able to do proper pushups. that's the kind of fitness level i'll spiral down towards if i don't watch out.
i'm really eager to watch the england v france 6nations matches in february - the women's matches at imber court (zone 6), that is! i've never actually watched an international women's test match before, so this should be interesting. it's cool being here in london, where there's enough rugby to keep me happy :)
.
i haven't heard from you for a long, long time. heard that you've been mia too. what the hell is going on?
