la marseillaise

this is why i find london so cool. i was walking with my american teammate meg and her friend kat to this £3++ pizza place off tott court road. once again, a mere 4-5 minute walk from my place.

in that span of time and walk, and this is on a sunday, we passed by a filming crew on a quiet street (there were little boys and lots of balloons involved, as far as i could see), and overheard a bunch of people loudly singing the french national anthem ("marchons, marchons..." - i was chuffed to have recognised its strains) around the corner, before we finally arrived at the pizza place.

and in the pizza place, we spotted a girl with the hugest punkish blue mohawk.

another thing i love about london is the dance music on the radio. and everywhere. less cheesy pop here (though britney still filters through). but lots of interesting diverse music. can't say i like all of it, but eclecticism is food for the soul.
