hob nobs kill!

argh.

this is unbelievable, i can't believe i'm getting this distracted over that.

stop stop stop!

now's not the time. now's so not the time.

.

what a state im in.

there are 2 parties tonight and i'm going for neither of them. instead i'm gorging on mcvities hob nobs. shouldn't have bought them in the first place. dammit.

the first was my rugby teammate's bday party, i said i would go but then now i have to change my mind as my due-for-monday course paper is nowhere near meeting the 2000-word requirement, plus jetlag is catching up with me again so that at 9pm i feel like tumbling onto my bed and falling asleep.

the second is some random party that probably has something to do with st georges day (i.e. like on st patricks day, everyone gets drunk without knowing, or caring, what for). wasn't going to go for that one anyway, the first party had dibs on me.

point is everyone else in around me seems to be going out. in the past i might have felt like the odd one out, now i'm pretty damn glad to be unhappening for a night if it will help me pass my exams. plus i have a very strong suspicion that most of my flatmates have easier, less exam/mugging-intensive courses.

life goes on in london even during exam time. activities and parties never cease to pop up, people still go for things, go out and get drunk, nevermind that their exam is in a few days' time.

it has given me perspective; there is no way i can, want to or will keep up with them. at the same time, mindless exam swotting isn't the way to go for life.
